FREE Nutrition Workshops with a CCE Suffolk Nutrition Educator. Join us and you can receive up to a total of $280 for free vegetables and fruits. You will receive $20 for each of the workshops you participate in.

In person Workshops will be available in English and Spanish.

Let’s eat the rainbow! Join us as we discuss the importance of including fruit and veggies in our daily lives.

Workshop 2: Healthy Foods that Taste Great: January 30
Benefits of lower sodium foods and how to enhance taste with low sodium recipes.

Workshop 3: Eating Healthy on a Budget: February 6
Cost Saving strategies to save money while eating with your health in mind.

Workshop 4: Rethink your Drink: February 13
Learn skills to measure the amount of sugar in popular drink choices and distinguish names for sugar.

Workshop 5: Physical Activity: Feb 27
Learn practical ways to incorporate physical activity into your day.

Workshop 6: Carb Counting Made Easy: March 5
Label reading and carb counting to help blood sugar levels.

Workshop 7: Portion Control: March 12
Tips to recognize how much to eat so you can control your portion size and still be satisfied.

Workshop 8: Supermarket Tour: March 19
Meet at Gala Food Market and learn best strategies for healthy shopping.

Workshop 9: Navigating Holidays (Passover, Easter) March 26

Workshop 10: Vary Your Protein: April 2
Learn health benefits of incorporating the right type of protein in their diets. Learn how to add plant protein in daily meals.

Workshop 11: Whole Grains: April 9

How, where foods should be prepared and stored.
